Island selection was voiced at a meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union last night, jthe chairman remarking that the selectors had not seen the front rankers before choosing them. Other members held that the selectors should have more time in which to see the players and to do their work properly. A sub-committe© was set up to draft suggestions to this end.
