Air L. O. Hooker, secretory of the South Taranaki Winter Show, returned from Wellington by the mail train last evening. JSchmitt, representing, the Department of Industries and Commerce. The committee of the Matapu Tennis Club, under the general direction of the lion, secretary, Miss M. Hawkes, is sparing no effort to make its ball to-morrow, (Thursday) evening one of the successes of the season. It has engaged Sharp’s orchestra and is arranging a dainty .supper.
