PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr George Kilvington, formerly of Hawera, who for some time has been postmaster at Pah-iatua, has -been notified of his appointment as postmaster at Feilding. A London cable message announced the death of Sir Henry Morris, a noted surgeon, at the age of 82. A Press Association message from Wellington reports the death of Mr T. A. Peterkin, at the age of BS_. For many years lie was connected with the railway service, and was appointed locomotive engineer at Wellington in 1897. He has been retired for many year.
The death occurred at -a private hospital at Whangarei last night of Mr James Crosby Martin, a barrister and solicitor, and formerly a Supreme Court judge. He died from pneumonia, which supervened on an operation. He was 69 years of age, and had resided at Russell f-or many years.—Press Association.
