Widespread havoc was paused in Chaux de Fonds (in the canton of Neuchatel) and the neighbourhood as the result of a cyclone in which three persons were killed and a number were injured. Whole forests and eighteen farms were destroyed and many entt’e were killed by falling walls. Telegraph and telephone lines are down.
