DUAL WIN BY HAWERA. , The Hawera Rifle Club had a dual win at Wanganui on Saturday, when its A team won the Moore Cup, and the B team the cup- presented- by Mr James Farley. The conditions at the Putiki butts were excellent—life wind »nd pi acti-o-ally lie variation in it. Four teams — Hawera, Patea, Wanganui A and Wanganui B —competed 111 the senior fixture, and five —Hawera B, Kai .* wi, Wanganui C, Mangamahu, and Rata—contested the junior event. It was •originally intended to fire at- three ranges, but owing to shortage of time seven shots- were filed at 300 yards and ten at 500 yards. The outstanding performer of the meet was Dep. President P. Peterson, of the Hawera A team, wh-o made a possible at the short range, and was but two short on the 500yds bank. Hawera also provided the. -second best performer in Rifleman A." H.
