A SPLIT AVERTED. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. LONDON, June 9. The Daily News states that a Liberal split ihos been averted by the supporters of Lord Oxford and Mr Lloyd Georgy both accepting a resolution by the Liberal Federation, not only expressing confidence in Lord Oxford as leader of the party, but', at the request of Mr Lloyd George’s supporters, expressing the hope that Lord Oxford would inspire all Liberals in the direction of vigorous social reform.
