CAR AND GIG COLLIDE.
ON GLOVER ROAD. PASSENGERS THROWN OUT. At about 5.30 o’clock last- evening, a car driven by Mr B. C. Bennett, andt containing two passengers, collided ndth a gig driven by Mr Woodhead, and carrying his wife, near the sale yards on the ' Glover road. The occupants of the gig were thrown out, and the horse bolted, as a result of which the vehicle was badly damaged. Mrs Woodhead was slightly injured, arid on tlie recommendation of Dr. McGhie was removed to a nursing home, where she was this morning reported to lie progressing favourably. Mr Bennett’s Car was damaged about the front mudguards and the radiator.
