The Canterbury Park Trotting Club s winter meeting opened to-day in ane weather, but there was a decided nip in the air. The track was in fine order , and the attendance was good, consioering strong couuter-attraetioms. in totalisator returns were £28,804, . as compared with £31,886 oif the opening day last year.
