Collins, Ellis, Grimmett, Everett and Hendry were omitted from the Australian team Rain fell overnight and the weather was dull this morning. The wicket had been fullv protected and was in good condition. • Carr won the toss and decided to baa. Gregory and Ryder opened the bowling, but after four overs rain reoo-mmenoed and the match was held up. The light was very poor.
