BOXING.

MURRAY v. JAMITO. (11V TEI.EGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) INWERCARGILL, May 31. There was a large attendance at the professional light-weight contest Les Murray v. Silvino Ja-mito, of 15 rounds'. Pie opening stages were characterised by forcing tactics on the part of Jamito, with Murray boxing very coolly. As the fight .progressed, Murray asserted his superiority, and punished Jamito with a snappy left and a good use of a right cross. A clever exposition resulted in Murray getting the verdict on points.
