HAWERA HIGH SCHOOL.

OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION. It was recently : decided by the members of the above association.'to form a club for the purpose of keeping in touch with each other, to take the form of social evenings alternately with gymnastic classes. The first of these evenings was held last evening. The function passed off most successfully, there being about 40 girls present. The programme, which was carried Out with a good swing, consisted mainly of games which were greatly appreciated by all. v At intervals vocal and elocutionary items Were contributed by individual members. Each one present showed great enthufflasm to carry out the schemes of the club, and it is anticipated that even greater success will be achieved with the ready assistance of all the girls.

Each member of the association is heartily invited to join up and attend the meetings, which, are to be held on alternate Mondays at 7.30 p.m.
