Light rain fell all the morning, but the. attendance was well up to. the average, and the going was good, though a trifle holding. Results: — PIIRUA HACK FLAT. 1 Ballymoy II 1 I 10 Royal Elm 2 I 11 Whemianui ; 3 j Scratched: Athenry. Won by a neck, the same distance sepaarting second and third. HACK STEEPLES. 2 Bustler l 3 Kendai 2 1 Merry Singer 3 Scratched: Frizzier and Pourihoiho. Won by two lengths, one length between second and third. Time, 4.4 4-5. WANGANUI STEEPLECHASE. 7 Eerie i - 5 Puwhero 2 1 Landbird 3 Scratched: Nukumai. • Won by a length, six lengths between second and third. Time, 6.7 4-5. Master Peter and Mahia lost their riders. HACK HURDLES. 13 Rangatahi 1 2 Ziroon 2 17 Slump 3 Scratched: Koauau, Gold Peak, Princess Fran and Yanninia. Won by two lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.49 4-5. CENTURY HURDLES. 3 Gaze i 5 San Fera 2 1 Koauau 3 Scratched: Nukumai, Little River and Mountain Bell. Won by three lengths, a neck between, second and third. Time, 4.19 2-5. NO RESUMPTION OF RACING YET BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 10.15 a.m. to-day. LONDON, May 19. The stewards of - the Jockey Club and the National Hunt Committee are unable to- obtain guarantees from the railway companies that they will be able to deal with racehorse traffic Consequently they are unable to issue any statement in regard, to the resumption of racing.
