WANGANUI STEEPLECHASE. 7 Eerie i - 5 Puwhero 2 1 Landbird 3 Scratched: Nukumai. • Won by a length, six lengths between second and third. Time, 6.7 4-5. Master Peter and Mahia lost their riders. HACK HURDLES. 13 Rangatahi 1 2 Ziroon 2 17 Slump 3 Scratched: Koauau, Gold Peak, Princess Fran and Yanninia. Won by two lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 2.49 4-5. The stewards of - the Jockey Club and the National Hunt Committee are unable to- obtain guarantees from the railway companies that they will be able to deal with racehorse traffic Consequently they are unable to issue any statement in regard, to the resumption of racing.
