APPEAL FOR, FURTHER, FUND'S.. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, May 18. The secretary of the National Labour committee for the support of British workers on Friday sent £TOOO to Mr. Citrine, secretory of the Trade Union Congress, and asked if further assistance was necessary. To-day he received the following reply: “Thanks for financial assistance; further support is urgent. The terms of the agreement! are the withdrawal of the general strike, and a resumption of negotiations on the blasts of the Coal Commission’,s report, with incidental improvements. Many employers are now refusing re-instoitement, insisting upon violating pre-strike conditions. We hope to make satisfactory ,arrangements, (but some are in a dangerous position. The miners’ negotiations are proceeding. The committee immediately issued another appeal for assistance. The workers of New Zealand are therefore asked to forward all financial assistance possible.
