DR THACKER SUED.

ALLEGED BREACH OF AGREEMENT. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 17. In the Magistrate’s. Court this morning, Arthur Cyril Cross, an English chaffeur, made a claim against Doctor Thacker for not'-having fulfilled an agreement to employ him for six months after arrival in New Zealand. Plaintiff said that when engaged at Horne, the defendant said lie was an M.P. and Mayor of Christchurch and was the best “boss” in New Zealand. After being in the Dominion for a few weeks there was dispute over payment for damage done to furniture, and Dr. Thacker discharged! him, saying “clear out.” The case is proceeding.
