lAIPERIAL ADVISORY BOARD
ITS APPOINTAIENT TO BE PRESSED.
(Br TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Alay. 6.
The -failure of the Home authorities to form an Imperial advisory board in order to give the Dominion Rugby Union a say in the control of the game so far as the international aspect is concerned was received with disappointment by the New Zealand Rugby Union, and a further endeavour is to be made to have an Imperial advisory board set up. At to-day’s meeting Air Dean (chairman) said he thought that if a man was sent Home this year he would be able to press the matter, so that the board would become an accomplished fact. It was time New Zealand had its full say on the governing body. He thought, that in addition to the Maori manager another man should be attacehd to the party for the purpose of attending the international conference. The management committee was empowered to appoint a- delegate. CONTROL OF THE GAAIE.

They could expect a visit from a, French .side next year, and it was expected the Frenchmen would play -at as many of the small centres as possible. The acceptance by Fran tie of the Alao-ri team was welcome. Encouragement to the game in the outlying'districts would be their aim, the minor unions deserving help from the parent body. It- Had been definitely arranged that- New Zealand ivil-l send a Rugby team to- South Africa, in 1923.
Grants, made la school football were pu-b.stantiai this year, and the Union bad decided to- increase the- grant for the purpose stated to £SOO if the management committee could see its way clear to grant this amount.
