VISITING GOLFERS FROM NAPIER
The competition for to-morrow (Saturday) will be a bogey handicap. The couse is rapidly improving and losing its dry aspect, and as a result of the rain will be in excellent order.
The best cards, nett, returned last Saturday were Overbye 78, Fletcher SI, L. Ritchie S 3, J. Quin So. Messrs Ivurepo and Kapi Tarcha, of Hawke’s Bay, who are travelling through Taranaki, reached Hawcra today and bad a round on tlic links "with Messrs O’Callaghan and Sutton. They expect to bo here some days. Yesterday they were the guests of Messrs J. and L. * Quin, of Eltliam, and had a round on the Elthani links. Mr Ivurepo Tarelia is an ex-amateur champion of New Zealand and is renowned as a mighty driver.
