A message from Fairbanks reports that the aeroplane Alaskan, of the Wilkins expedition, was attempting to take off for the flight to Point Barron to-day, when it was seriously damaged. The propeller was .splintered, the wings torn to shreds, and the landing gear on the right side reduced to a tangled wreck. —Reuter. DETROITER TO BE USED. Received 2.15 p.m. to-day. VANCOUVER, May 6.
