EMPIRE PUBLICITY

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In reply to “Enquirer,” I am the Mr Hooker who drives a car—provided by my employers. And, as he evidently knows more about my business than I do myself, I shall leave him to complete his story. But, for his benefit, I may say that the car I drive is stored at Mr O’Callaghan’s garage, and I would now ask him to make an inspection, get the name of the car and the place it was made — which is legibly printed on it —and give the public the benefit of that investigation. In the meanwhile, I would suggest that it is usual to play cricket in front of the wickets and not behind them. Also, may I invite “Enquirer” to attend Friday night’s meeting, where lie will be given an opportunity to extend his inquiries further? —I am, etc., L. 0. HOOKER. Hawera, May 6.
