WOMAN DISAPPEARS.
A PORANGAHAU MYSTERY. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WAIPUKURAU, May 6. A sensation has been caused in Waipukurau and Porangah.au districts by the disappearance of the daughter of a wel'-known settler, whose absence was discovered on Monday morning, a note having been left, it is stated, to the effect that her body would be found in the river. Search parties have been out ever since the matter was reported to the constable stationed at Porangahau, but as yet- no trace has been found of th© young lady or her body, presuming her expressed intention was canned out. Naturally the unfortunate happening has caused mull concern. The name of the missing woman is Miss Thelma White, daughter of Mr E. J. White, of Porangahau.
