SEARCH FOR LAND. CAPTAIN WILKINS’ PLANS. lITS PROPOSED FLIGHT. BY CABLE-PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. VANCOUVER, May 5. A Fairbanks telegram states that Captain George Wilkins announced on Tuesday night that- he would leave Fairbanks on Wednesday, with Lieut. Eilsen as pilot, en route for Barrow, in a single-engine airplane. Thence he would flv northward on his last trip of exploration over the Arctic wastes in an attempt to discover land. The aeroplane will fly 460 miles north of Barrow and cruise east and west over the Arctic for 200 miles, and then return to Barrow. AMUNDSEN’S EXPEDITION. THE NORGE DEPARTS FOR SPITZBERGEN.
