THE CHRYSLER CAR.

HAWERA AGENCY. (Published by Arrangement.) Since its advent upon New Zealand roadways the Chrysler ear has commanded the interest of a large section of the motoring community. A good deal has been heard regarding the dominating personality and mechanical o-enius of Walter P. Chrysler, the builder of the cars which bear Ins name. A business cannot, however, be liuilt upon a name only —there must be I something to show that the name

' makes good, and it is the Chrysler can itself that wins its own way. The remarkable success of Chryslers. in. reliability and speed trials held in various parts of this Dominion is evidence that here is a car of singular power and efficiency. Quite recently in the south a stock 5-passenger Chrysler phaeton did the fastest time of the day, irrespective of class, at the WaikouaitJ Beach sports. Cliryslers filled first and second places 'in the stock car andj Thomson challenge cup. events, and only a short time previously captured all available prizes at the Otago Motor Club’s hill climb. In the middle of the present month at Waihi 'a stock model- Chrysler won the open class speedway. These successes - speak for, themselves in regard to the power available, and it is to the private owner that reference should be made for proof that- the Chrysler possesses all those qualities which are looked for by the discriminating and experienced owner driver. In appearance and equipment- the Chrysler is in the very front rank, and it is a car that one can be proud of. The aim of the builder lias been to develop superlative efficiency in the engine, new standards for appearance, and new standards for riding /ind driving ease, -at new low prices. ' Oil filters cleanse the crank case oil as the motor runs; an air cleaner keeps dirt and dust out of the engine; four-wheel hydraulic btakes ensure perfect command; an extra large and perfectly balanced crank shaft, with seven bearings, vibration —these a.rc among the improvements which * contribute to the superiority claimed for the Chrysler. Points which prospective purchasers should bear in mind are: Greater power, giving 70 miles per hour if required with ease and celerity; faster acceleration, giving 5 to 25 miles in seven seconds; remarkable fuel economy, notwithstanding increased power and faster acceleration; still easier gear shifting; thief-proof numbering system; motor heat indicator; stabilators to eliminate ( the shock of road irregularities; pivotal steering; and no side-sway springs, ' which by a new method of suspension eliminate side-sway.

Having said so much a word or two remains to be added in regard to price, and it is not too much to claim that the inquirer will be surprised at the reasonable figure at which all the advantages enumerated can be secured in this car if he purchases a Chrysler. There is an agency in Hawera, and Messrs Lane and Heighton, whose, premises are situate in Union Street, nearlv opposite the Central Hotel, will be glad to afford all information and to demonstrate the superlative Chrysler. Your inquiries will be appreciated, and the word trouble is not known to us in affording all the information at our disposal.
