MAGISTRATE COLLAPSES

AFTER. LONG DAY’S WORK

(BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.') CHRISTCHURCH, May 1. After presiding at the court from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. yesterday, with one break only for lunch, Mr H. A. Young, S.M., collapsed on the pavement outside the court building, when he was about to leave for his home. He had hacl a particularly strenuous day. Assistance was immediatley forthcoming, and after he had been brought round Mr Young was placed in a car and. driven home. Mr Young was not at work this morning. Within the past week decided opinions have been expressed, that magistrates in Christchurch, are overworked.
