ANOTHER SMASH

AT LEVEL CROSSING. FIVE PEOPLE KILLED. ACCIDENT AT ADELAIDE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 10.15 a.m. to-day. ADELAIDE, May 1. A shocking accident occurred at Cheltenham railway crossing when five occupants of a motor car were killed. When the car was approaching the crossing it was raining hard, and all the curtains were closed. 'As the crossing gates, were open, the car was driven confidently ahead. When, it reached the middle of the down line the train from Adelaide to Port Adelaide crashed into it. There' were three women and two men in the car. All the bodies were mangled beyond recognition, and their names have not yet been definitely ascertained. They are thought to be all members of the Caire family, of Port Adelaide.
