EX-PREMIER OF EGYPT SUED

CAIRO, April 27. An interesting law' suit has 1 been begun on behalf of Mrs Folk, widow of an American, Joseph W . Folk, at one time Governor of Missouri, against Zaghloul Pasht. late Premier of Egypt, Mohammed Pasha, and Mahmud Pasna, who are ioined as co-clefendants, in an action for the recovery of £120,000 for arrears of salary and special payments a’Jeged due. Counsel stated that Mahmud went to America and negotiated an agreement under which Folk was to conduct a propaganda campaign in favour of Egyptian independence. He was to receive 5000 dolalrs monthly for two years, plus £IOO,OOO in the event of SIICCBSS. Counsel produced receipts showng that Folk actually received 35,000 dollars, and affirmed that Folk was actively engaged from 1919 to 1921, when the agreement was terminated by a cable from Zaghloul Pasha. His widow now sues for arrears ot salary and expenses and £IOO,OOO, counsel arguing that Egypt has become a sovereign and independent State.
