LABOUR DAY.
MELBOURNE CELEBR ATIONS. BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPY EIGHT. MELBOURNE, April 28. The Eight Hour Day under its new name of Labour Day was celebrated by a big procession through the city streets, followed by sports. A feature of the procession was the fine trade display of Australian-made goods. Under the banner of the ex-police-inent'.s union, marched some two hundred ex-constables, who were discharged from the ranks as a result of the strike two years ago. The crowds gave them a great reception.
