The Metal Trades Employers’ Association discussed the decision of certain unions working under Federal Arbitration Court awards not to work more than 44 hours per week, despite the recent High Court ruling. The meeting resolved 1 • that as the employers are bound to conform to the conditions of the Federal award, .such conditions must also be observed by the men. and any man refusing to do so would he notified that his services were no 'onger required. The enforcement of this decision will mean the first blow in what promises to be a big light.
