LORD BYNG INDISPOSED

OTTAWA, April 20. A telegram from Winnipeg states that Governor-General Byng, in a farewell tour of Western Canada, was confined to bed aboard his car with an infected foot, the result of -a war wound. He was compelled to forego public functions. Lady Byng accepted the demonstrations of loyalty and affection on behalf of herself and her husband.
