The keynote of the Senate’s discussion of the Navy estimates was the demand for strong navy leagues. Thd Minister of Marine opposed th 4 abolition of submarines, and declared that- France must have si navy in proportion to her maritime position, colonies, and general importance. The nation had a right to say, “The sea is ours.” —Sydney Sun Cable.
