The Farmers’ Co-op. draw the attention of farmers to their Manaja sale advertisement containing particulars of second-hand iron and timber, to be offered on account of the proprietor of the Manaia Hotel immediately after the stock sale. This is useful stuff for sheds, etc. J. C. Smith advertises full particu larsi of furniture and effects which lie will sell on account of Mrs J. Smillie at the house, Argyle Street (opp. Presbyterian Church), on Wednesday, 21st April, at 1.30 p.m. ' The fine cabinet presented to Mr. B. McCarthy last night was made by, Messrs G. Syme and Co., Ltd. It was an excellent piece of workmanship, two compartments, one with coloured glass front. It was all made of heart rimu.
