The Westminster Gazette’s diplomatic correspondent revea-ls that General Pangalos recently requested the French military .mission in Greece to inspect 'the Greek army with regard to its fitness for a war on a. big scale. The mission reported that the army was ft so far as training was concerned, but it wad uot efficiently equipped. Greece then negotiated in .France and elsewliere for rifles, tanks and other equipment oil long credit, but could. nGt obtain longer than two yeairs. Greece then turned to Italy, who agreed to supp y the material, giving four years’ credit. A large number of rifles have already been delivered. —Sydney Sun Cable. I
