ALLEGED MURDER.
CHARGE AGAINST A MAORI

CHRISTCHURCH, April 16. At Kaikaura, Pene Tahui Green was charged with the murder of a Maori girl named Kathleen Peneta. After considerable evidence had been heard, the accused pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. It was previously reported that the girl had been killed accidentally by a blow from a bottle.
