TOURNAMENT AT OPOTIKI. (BY TELEGRAPH- —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) OPOTIKI, April 16. The Opotiki .Boxing Association held a tourney last night. Results were as follows: Welterweights.—P. Edwards (Opofciki) beat Pile (Opotiki); Pitcher (Gisborne) beat Cooke (Opotiki) ; Malcolm (Opotiki) and J. Edwards (Opotiki) drew. 1 1 ightwe i.glits. —Hawthorne (M atata) beat Buckingham. (Gisborne) ; Dundry (Opotiki) beat Fitzmaurice (Gisborne); Robertson (Gisborne) beat Barnes (Matata). Featherweight.—Star bout of six rounds: Franklin (Gisborne) drew with O’ Sullivan (Auckl and). Middle wei ghit. —Wright (Gisborne) beat Rl. Parkinson (Matata). The referees were Messrs Bars we 11 (Gi.sb-orne) and Garruthers (Opotiki).
