Siiialier opened the night session bri.'liantl. - . He scored 266 in half an hour, including breaks of 77 and 76. Smith, who so far had had few chances, then had five useful runs. Shailer replying with 40. 29. 23, and 79.' The night Session yielded the Australian 501,, his average being 16J.
