CHANG’S SOLE OBJECTIVE. BY CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION-COPYBIGHT. Received noon to-day. PEKING, April 13. General Chang Tso-lin, in an interview, stated:—“My sols object in this war is to eradicate Bolshevism from China. As soon as that is accomplished J will withdraw to my own territory north of the Great Wall, and my entire attention will, henceforth, be devoted to the reconstruction and development of .Manchuria along lines of industry and peace.” General Chang Tso-lin seemed embittered against General Fteng-Yu-siang. He declared he was not interested in the next President of China, although a big man was needed.” I shall keep out of politics in China, my business being entirely with Manchuria.”—A. and N.Z. Assn.
