SUCCESSFUL CULL CATTLE DRIVE FIRST IN, SOUTH TARANAKI. \ (From Our Own Correspondent.) The result of the cull cattle drive, for which arrangements were made by the committee of the Auroa branch of the Farmers’ Union, was evident on Tuesday, when 82 cows and heifers and one hull were taken over by the representatives of the Patea Freezing Company and left by road for the works. They are to be killed there on Thursday and returns will be awaited with interest by the various owners. It is the first drive of cull cattle in the district, and is the outcome of the discussion on the subject at the executive meetings of the union.
