WISH -WYJsTNE.
OEPERiA HiOiUSB—TO-NIGHT,
Wish Wynne, the celebrated English actress, who to-night opens her season at the Opera House in conjunction with the pictures, is one of the world’s outstanding personalities. In Wish Wynne there is something quite original, something quite unique. Her studies and characters actually live and move and have their being. No imitations these. They are in very fact little bits of real life transplanted to the stage, and above all her humour has, like that of Sir James Barrie, a deep note of pathos underlying it. Her clown-trod-den “slavey” is just such a waif as may be found in Bloomsbury to-day. There is a great variety in Wish Wynne’s work, and her humour, redolent of real life as it is, is-her dominant asset. She is real, sincere, understanding—one of the world’s greatest delineators. Wish Wynne will be accompanied by her husband, Mr. Bernard Kitchen. In the pictorial part of the programme, “Grounds for Divorce,” a Paramount picture, with Florence Vidor, will be featured. Altogether a wonderful night’s entertainment will be given at the Olpera House to-night.
