A violent cyclone at Trangie late this afternoon demolished a number of buildings, causing extensive damage. Two women were buried beneath the •ruins of their homes and were critically injured. Over fifty people are homeless. Received 10.30 a.m. to-day. ISYDSNWY, Alpril 7. Torrential rain followed the tornado which struck Tnangie, ruining furniture and other effects in the unroofed buildings. The tornado could ibe seen approaching half an hour before it liftrinfjk the town. After levelling a number of buildings, the path of the storm' veered and missed the main business portion. The Church of. England, Rloimait Catholic Church, Masonic hall, were among the places razed to the ground.
