FASCIST PARTY.
TROUBLE IN THE RANKS. MUSSOLINI TO TAKE OVER CONTROL. a> BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received 12.50 p.m. to-day. LONDON, April 5. The Daily Herald’s special correspondent at Oliiasso says thait Signor Mussolini's long speech at the Fascist Grand Council last week was not, as given out a review of the position, but it dealt with the internal position, especial y’ the crisis, within the’ Fascist ranks. The withdrawal of Signor Farinacei from the secretaryship did not settle the profound rift in the party j in fact his successor, Signor Tiirati, inherited a. situation of confusion anil disorder. The most significant indication is Signor Mussolini’s decision to make the control of the Fascist Management Committee his own, task. Une phase of the struggle is the demand for a. general election. Signor Frderzoni. who is reported to be wiling to negotiate an electoral alliance with 'the Vatican, is the head of an industrial group, and. is anxious to pacify the opposition moused by the Fascist policy.—A. and N.Z.
