METHODIST Y.M. CAMP.
SATURDAY'S SPORTS RESULTS. The sports held in connection with the Methodist Young Men’s Bible Class Union Camp. at the Hawera Main School on Saturday were in every way 'successful. The various events were keenlv contested, and a. number of a thletes of" a. high standard competed. Wellington, of Trinity Church (Wanganui) showed up brightly in the senior section, while Ballantyne (Normanbv) and Harding (Kaponga) won the intermediate and junior individual championships respectively. In addition to the individual championships in the junior, intermediate and senior sections, a banner was competed for at the camp sports by the different classes. This banner, a fine black silk one, was offered by the Taranaki Methodist Bible Union for the first time. Beside bearing the insignia of the union in gold lettering, the upper portion is adorned with a. beautiful painting of Mt. Egmont. The Hawera Class won the banner, Kaponga being runners-up. , Following are the points secured by the respective classes: — Hawera 76 Kaponga 59 Stratford 44 Trinity (W.anganui) 37, Normanbv 22, Lepperton 8, Dublin Street (Wanganui), 4. Points seemed in the individual championships were as follows: Seniors: Weliugton (Trinity, Wanganui), 31; L. S. Hulbert (Hawera), 20. Intermediate: Ballantyne (Normanbv), 22; Betts (Kaponga), 19. Juniors: Harding (Kaponga), 40; Wills (Hawera), 17. Detailed results were:— SENIORS. 100 yards.—Wellington (Wanganui) 1, L. S.
