THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM

CRITICISED BY DOUGLAS.

RY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON. April 4..

Douglas, in an article in the Sunday Express, entitled “Australia’s Mystery Men,’’ says he cannot understand the omission of Kelleway. Apart from his sobering influence among th’e forcing batsmen for a few overs, with a new ball, ho is one of the most likely bowlers to get a wicket. “Richardson may, in my opinion,” he says, “develop into the greatest bowler in the visiting team. He keeps a marvellous length, gathers pace off the pitch with a turning ball from the off. and is just the type to develop on English wickets. He might even have been chosen in the 1921 team. T should not be surprised if he gets a large bag of wickets.”
