SENTENCES AT AUCKLAND. CUY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION ) AUCKLAND, March 29. At the Supreme Court the undermentioned prisoners were, sentenced: Robert Stephenson, for an indecent assault on a girl at Kawakawa, was sentenced to two years’ hard labour. John Roderick Skipper, for false pretences at Gisborne, was admitted to probation for two years. William Bergerson, for carnal knowledge at Taumarunni. was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon, the Judge stating that the girl was partly responsible. The couple had since been married.
