NEW FIVE MILES MOTOR-PACED RECORD. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TEMARU, March 27. At the bicycle sports meeting here to-day, W. ' Mackie (Christchurch) lowered the five-mile motor-paced record, his time being Bmin. 10 2-ssec. The New Zealand record, previously held by J. Fitzgerald (Australia) was Biniii. 57sec. - In the half, and quarter-mile match races M. Fitzgerald (Victoria) easily beat W. Mackie (Christchurch).
