/ PRICES AT WELLINGTON. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.', WELLINGTON, March 27. The wool sales have concluded. Oi 22,000 bales 95 per cent, were sold. Considering the quality at this time of the year, prices were on a par to a halfpeny advance on February rates. America and Bradford were competing for all super lots. Bradford was the mainstay of the market, but the Continent was keen. Fine halfbred ranged from 141 d to 17Jd; fine crossbred, average, from 12d to l%fd; medium crossbred, to 13fd; coarse crossbred, II cl to 12 *d; lambs’ woo) was erratic. •

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. reports: The fifth and final sale of the season was held last night and to-day. .We submitted a catalogue comprising 2600 bales and sold 95 per cent, at auction. The selection of -wool offered was well up to the average of last sale. Buyers were in full attendance and competition for all wools was keen, ancl was sustained throughout. The. bulk of the offering was purchased by Bradford, with strong Continental competition. America was also in the market for suitable lots. The values obtained show an increase on the recent North Island series of a full penny per pound for all bright, light-condi-tioned wools. Average ancl inferior style, and pieces and oddments, ruled from par to a halfpenny dearer.. Lambs’ wool was slightly easier and front a halfpenny to a penny cheaper. Classed and binned wools brought extreme competition and realised satisfactory prices.
