DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.

ATTENDANCE OF SCHOOL CHILDREN. (RY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, March. 27. This morning the attendance record at the Exhibition stood at 2,281,668. A big tally is expected to-day. The special military display this afternoon and the last performance to-night of the historical pageant and torchlight tattoo should draw large crowds, and fire special trains have brought in several thousand excursionists. Speaking at a farewell to this week’s party of, visiting school children, Mr J. C. Somerville, chairman of the billeting committee, said that the committee had dealt with approximately five thousand children, and before the exhibition ended it would have put through nine thousand. In addition hundreds of local children had visited the Exhibition every day. In this week’s party there-were children from Wa-destown School (Wellington), the pioneers of contingents which are com- . ing from the North Island.
