RIVERLEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) PERSONAL. i regret to report that the condition of Mrs. A Malone is causing her relatives and acquaintances grave anxiety. Airs. Malone’ has been an invalid for some years, but until recently her general health has been good. 1 hope to be able to report im improvement shortly.
As will have been seen in the report of the last- meeting of the Eduea T tion Board, the new head teacher for Riverlea is to be Aliss Aforeeraft, at present head teacher at Mokoia. Miss Morecraft stands high in the teachers’ grading list, and from what can be learnt should prove a very satisfactory teacher. It is now nearly twenty years since Riverlea lias had a female head teacher. Miss Sbortall, who was, I think, the first- .teacher here,' was followed, if T remember rightly, in July, 1906, by Air. R. E. Armstrong, who was here about three years ; Air. E. O. Ewart followed Air. Armstrong, and lie in turn was succeeded bv the present master, Air. A. E, AT ills', in 1920.
