A Press Association telegram from Wellington, announces the death of Mr John BaiUie, xvlio was xvell-knoxvn in art circles. About 15 years ago the deceased brought out an important collection of British pictures to' '.Wellington, many of which remained in the Dominion. Later lie brought a similar collection to the Auckland Exhibition. He was 58 years of age. The death occurred of Mr. Janies McCullum at the Auckland Public Hospital on Saturday last, at the age of 70 years. Thirty or forty years'ago “Jim” McCullum xvas one of the best known men on the coast, for lie carried on a coach and carrying service. Mr. McCullum had been living for some years at Pukekohe. and is survived by Mrs. McCullum, 'who was a daughter of the late Mr. W. W. Syme, another well-known old identity of Otako. v
