AUCKLAND WOOL SALE. RANGE OF PRICES. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, March 24. The Auckland wool brokers report having held the third and final sale of the season to-day, when the total catalogues offered by the various brokers ■amounted to 7350 bales. This brings the total offering for the season. to 44,738 bales. There was a good attendance of buyers, and competition was keen for all lots offered. Prices, with the exception of the strongest grades of wool, were very much on a par with the last sale. Strong wools showed a slight appreciation on the prices at the lust sale. Purchases were fairly well distributed, Continental buyers competing keenly with Bradford for all wool suitable for their'trade, and French buyers were -well to the fore for lambs’ wool. There were also good orders about for bellies and pieces, any s good lots free of seed bringing very satisfactory prices. About 90 per cent, of the catalogue was sold under the hammer. The selection of wool offered was, for the third sale, exceptionally, good, and there were a few very attractive clips, which elicited very keen competition. There were very few dingy and log-stained lots noticeable, although a large proportion of the lambs’ wool carried a considerable amount of seed. . A rough estimate of the value of the wool sold would be £ls per bale. Following is the range of prices:—
