INVITATION TO AUSTRALIAN TEAM. (BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, March 18. Regarding the visit to the Dominion of a ‘‘Soccer” team, from Australia, the New Zealand Football Association, ■discussed the question to-night. - Mr. Hyder said that when on a visit to Sydney he had interviewed various officials connected with the game in Australia and he had been told that Australia recognised the} - had received enough visits from teams, and that it was time they travelled. There would be no‘difficulty in arranging for a team to make a tour, but the only matter likely to cause disagreement was' the allowance requested of ten shillings per day per nlaver for time and wages jest. ‘

It was decided to invite an Australian team of seventeen players and a manager, the tour to last a minimum of six weeks, and the team to leave Australia on June. 17. ’
