As the result of the matches- flayed at Eltham yesterday, in which there were eight contestants, two were left in for the final—Mr J. S. McDonald (Avon) with two' lives, and Mr E. Bary (Eltham) one life. These two play-off to-day. The players contesting the honour were: Messrs J. S. McDonald (Avon), P. Skoglund (Stratford), Cottier (Inglewood), E. Bary (Eltham), Sinclair (Opunake), Pohe Tito (Pihama), Carey (Patea), and Ansley (Ok'ato). The results- were: _ First Round. —McDonald beat Cottier, Bary beat Sinclair, Carey beat Tito, Ansley beat Skoglund. Second Round. —Bary beat Carey, Skoglund beat Tito, McDonald beat Ansley, Cottier beat Sinclair. Third Round. —Carey beat Ansley, McDonald beat Carey, Skoglund heat Cottier. Semi-final. —Bary beat Skoglund, McDonald beat Carey.
