MEETING OF 'OKAIIAWIA BRANCH. Alt a general meeting of members l of the Okaiawia branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union there were present, Messrs D. M. Cameron (chair), N. Crocker, o‘gier, E W. Johns, IV. Holies, H. IVatts, C. Wafts, Booth and T. Allan and T. Innes, secretary. Messrs E. J. Betts and G. Betts from the Manaia branch were also present. It wiaa agreed: to donate £3 to* the Dunn Memorial Fund. In connection with the Church of England Immigation scheme, it was resolved to forward a. remit dealing with the matter. Cull cow drive. —It was decided to write to the secretay of the Patea Freezing Works asking if cows would be received from individual farmers. Root growing competitions. —Canvassers for entries were* appointed as follow: Mr. Allan, North an by Rtoad West • Mr N. Crocker, Ahipaipa Road to Otkaiawia; Mr. D, Cameron, Tempsky and Karetaru Roads; Mr. Booth, Normanby Road East; Mr. Johns, Burgon Road. The canvassers will report to a meeting to be held on March 25. A, vote of thanks to Mr. It. Betts, vice-president of the Provincial executive, for attending the meeting and also to the chairman, concluded the meeting.
